Gmail for iOS Finally Brings Support for Adding Attachments via the Files App

iOS has had a native File manager called "Files" for quite some time, but simply with iOS xiii did the Cupertino giant really make the Files app any useful for at least some sort of file direction on the iPhone. With that in mind, the Gmail app for iOS is at present finally bringing support for adding electronic mail attachments through the Files app on the iPhone and iPad.

Upward until at present, Gmail supported calculation attachments from the camera whorl, and via Google Drive, just had left out the Files app from the attachments option. That meant if you needed to attach a PDF yous scanned using Files, or anything saved inside the app, y'all couldn't add it as an attachment in Gmail. For me, personally, this meant saving the email every bit a draft, sending the file via AirDrop to my MacBook and and then attaching information technology into my email on the web. Abrasive, yes, just functional.

With this new change, y'all'll no longer need to resort to such complicated mechanics for adding attachments to emails.
